These Are A Few Of My Favorite (O.T.) Things...March, 2016 Edition!

The ever-popular peanut ball! I have the yellow and blue, and I find the yellow is a nice size for Toddlers, Preschoolers, Kindergartners, and First Graders. The blue is nice for older kids. I still haven't met a kid who doesn't love these!

We use them during OT mainly for postural muscle, core, and shoulder girdle strengthening while the kids lie on their tummies and play a game, or sit and straddle it while they reach for items on both sides (this also tackles crossing midline in a fun way). They can also be used as adaptive seating for a "sensory diet" strategy, as they provide a means to move without leaving your seat. According to Amazon, they can also be used for dog training purposes...who knew?! I got mine as a 2-pack for $19.99, which is currently not offered, but at under $15 each, they're both a steal. They even come up with a nice little pump, so inflation is easy as pie.
